Bitter sweet. Libby Hulin awarded NSW Young Dressage Rider of the Year as Moscow retires..

Congratulations to sponsored rider Libby Hulin who was awarded NSW Dressage Young Rider of the Year at the recent Equestrian NSW awards night. This prestigious award follows news that Libby made the world’s top 100 young dressage rider rankings released by the International Equestrian Federation. The EA NSW award came at a difficult time for Libby who just announced the retirement of 19 year old grand prix trained Moscow.

My equine companion and good friend Moscow has retired. The last two years together have been eventful, exciting and the best years of my life. I have been able to take him to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Caboolture in Queensland and copious trips to Sydney. Moscow has taught me the ropes in FEI and has broadened my horizons and knowledge that I can now pass on to my young horses.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to call him my friend and I cannot thank Adam Vellere and Ken Hosking enough for allowing me into his life. I was given the ride on Moscow at the end of 2013 after my horse suffered colic surgery.

We forged a strong bond together and were successful at being selected on the NSW and National Youth Development Squads and we have achieved great success together.

Moscow started on Rose-Hip Vital Equine (RHVE) in 2014 and I attribute a lot of our success to this product. It helped with travelling, recovery time but more importantly Moscow seemed happier and the improvement in his coat was amazing. I found despite his age he could maintain his workload and training, and always thrived on RHVE. I thank RHVE for being a part of my team with Moscow and look forward to their continued support as I now move onto the younger generations.
